‘schau’ (show, exhibition, performance) is the first offshoot of the ‘umlaut’ project and places an umlaut on the act of bowing – the act of bowing to someone, a gesture that marks the beginning and end of a moment, welcome and farewell, thanks and forgiveness, the plea for mercy and the acceptance of one’s sentence.

The body, language and writing of schau fray, whilst continuing to multiply. The stage becomes the object of the scene, shifting the plane of representation.
