GROOVE (is in the heart) takes the form of a choreographic project in which the stage becomes a welcoming space, closer to an environment than to a performance setting. The choreography is situated on this threshold, where forms are revealed as they unfold and the experience transcends the individual perspective. In this context, John Milton’s image of a ‘wilderness of sweets’ resonates: a fertile density, brimming with possibilities and unexpected accumulations, in which excess and proliferation become a generative force. Within this field, dance manifests itself as a gesture of intimacy in the public space: a movement that leaves the body exposed, languidly projected into space according to a logic akin to a dream, where incongruous elements coexist and influence one another. The spectator is invited to gradually enter a shared field of attention where perception, thought and grace remain open — allowing oneself to be looked at, to be seen, to be lived — suspending the need for utility and restoring to movement the character of unproductive, shared pleasure.
