Le Cirque Astéroïde is a half-hour performance inside a semi-trailer that is part of Maria-Caroline Hominal’s choreographic research around the imaginary of the party, the dynamics of entertainment and theatrical artifices.
“In the spring of 2020, during the months of quarantine, I found myself in front of a construction site, where workers were loading equipment onto a truck covered by a huge red tarpaulin, open like the curtain of a stage.
This image was the trigger for Le Cirque Astéroïde and I later wanted to perform on the street and the semi-trailer became a landscape stage, a place of mobile poetry’.
