Fuorimargine Production

Sentimental2 is the site-specific version – created in collaboration with Silvia Calderoni and Annamaria Ajmone – of a wider project by Cristina Kristal Rizzo, entitled Sentimental.
It is a choreographic device embedded in shifting contexts, a happening that invites the audience to slow down, observe and perceive the bodies immersed in a wave of expression that traverses the space and those who inhabit it, like a flickering glimmer or a most gentle stillness. Three distinct figures take to the stage, each with very particular characteristics, whose differences expand the scope of perception. The audience is actively engaged in observation until they grasp the moment when the gesture comes alive.

The performance is designed to identify, as it unfolds, moments in which to create a performative action that allows one to linger in a state of suspension, outside the operational and functional rhythms of everyday life. It consists of a series of interconnected situations, arranged within a schedule to be imagined anew each time, rethinking the event outside any ritual framework: art as a designed practice.
