The torso and arms of Dalila Belaza tear through the darkness of a transfigured night, while Serge Teyssot-Gay’s guitar growls, rejoices, and hollows out the air. Its searing intensity carry, propel, and celebrate the ruptures of a body that tips from intimacy toward infinity, toward an out-of-body and perhaps an out-of-world state.
In the vivid experience of their deep mutual trust, Dalila Belaza and Serge Teyssot-Gay set out on paths unexplored until now.. It is indeed a matter of crossing a threshold, of sowing a few fractures in reality and greeting another experience of life.
“Music has always helped me to pass through walls, beginning with those within myself,” says Dalila Belaza, who shares with us her shadowed lights and the possibility of transcendence.
