GROOVE (is in the heart) takes the form of a choreographic project in which the stage becomes a welcoming space, closer to an environment than to a performance setting. The choreography is situated on this threshold, where forms are revealed as they unfold and the experience transcends the individual perspective. In this context, the image evoked by John Milton of a ‘wilderness of sweets’ resonates: a fertile density, full of possibilities and unexpected accumulations, in which excess and proliferation become a generative force. Within this field, dance manifests itself as a gesture of intimacy in the public space: a movement that leaves the body exposed, languidly projected into space according to a logic akin to a dream, where incongruous elements coexist and influence one another. The spectator is invited to gradually enter a shared field of attention where perception, thought and grace remain open — allowing oneself to be looked at, to be seen, to be lived — suspending the need for utility and restoring to movement the character of unproductive, shared pleasure.
